The mercury has plummeted (once again) and horse racing fixtures across the UK and Ireland are falling foul of the unseasonal weather.
The National Hunt programme has been reduced on a number of occasions this season due to sub-zero temperatures, and clerks are once again busy checking the forecasts to see if cards will survive mother nature’s best efforts. The combination of snow, sleet and freezing temperatures means tracks are potentially unraceable.
