Plenty of people find horse racing confusing, with the terminology leaving many puzzled. Well, don’t worry, as the Cheltenham Festival 2023 edges closer, we’ve got the answers to all your biggest questions.
Is there a track equivalent to a cold Tuesday night at Stoke?
We took Steven from the social team and got him to pose ex-star jockey Ruby Walsh a series of questions from the perspective of someone who, by his own admission, knows zilch about racing.
It included crucial matters such as horses defecating when running, having massive erections and whether they can recognise jockeys.
"If I cut your nuts off, what do you think would happen to you?"

Other key topics were discussed including whether horses know they’re racing and if jockeys are irrelevant as it’s all on the horse to perform.
Our man was also stunned to find out that horses sleep for just one hour a day, leading Ruby to be probed about what they do for the other 23 hours.
We also found out whether there’s a track equivalent to a cold Tuesday night at Stoke. Spoiler alert – Ruby says it’s Dundalk on a Friday night.
