A big three-day meet at the home of the Jumps.

Cheltenham stages its second fixture of the National Hunt season with three bumper days of racing at the November Meeting.

It represents a significant increase in quality from last month’s Showcase with a number of Grade 2s, Listed action and a few Premier Handicaps on the schedule including the big one, the Paddy Power Gold Cup.

Mouse Morris’ French Dynamite is among the favourites to score a rare victory for the Irish in the £160,000 contest on Saturday but he faces 15 rivals including the likes of 2020 hero Coole Cody and course winner Stolen Silver.

The November Meeting kicks off on Friday and the Grade 2 Ballymore Novices’ Hurdle – officially registered as The Hyde Novices’ Hurdle so you don’t get it confused with the Cheltenham Festival race of the same name – looks like a proper puzzle for punters, despite a field of just seven runners going to post at 3.30pm. Hubrisko and Music Drive bring over a high level of form from Ireland while Weveallbeencaught looks a decent prospect and Hermes Allen scored a huge victory on his first try over flights.

The action steps up a gear on day two and we’re sponsoring four of the afternoon’s seven races. Four races, Paddy? That’s insane! One of the most intriguing contests is the Grade 2 Paddy Power Arkle Challenge Trophy Trial Novices’ Chase as the likes of Banbridge, Monmiral, Pentland Hills and Tommy’s Oscar duke it out.

Sunday’s card is also high on quality with the Grade 2 Shloer Chase set to see the return of last season’s Arkle winner Edwardstone before Paul Nicholls’ hat-trick seeking Sonigino attempts to land the Greatwood Handicap Hurdle.
