The Breeders’ Cup promises two days of blockbuster racing from the other side of the pond.
A stack of Irish and UK runners will make the trip Stateside in a bid to land some of the biggest prize pots in the game but they’ll face competition from America’s best horses and others from across the globe.
The Breeders’ Cup 2022 takes place at Keeneland in Lexington, Kentucky from Friday, November 4 to Saturday, November 5 with $28,000,000 up for grabs across 14 races.
Juveniles take centre stage on the first day of the meeting and there are five contests on the card. Silver Knott is set to carry the Godolphin colours in the Juvenile Turf, won by stablemate Modern Games last year.
The action ramps up on day two with nine renewals including the Breeders’ Cup Turf, which could see Baaeed’s conquerer Bay Bridge attempt to land the majority of the $4,000,000 purse, before the richest race of the meeting, the Breeders’ Cup Classic worth a tidy $6,000,000 featuring Flightline, the world’s highest-rated horse.
