The highest-rated horse in the world will bring the curtain down on his racing ventures in the Qipco Champion Stakes after connections opted against taking another step up in trip for the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp.
But Baaeed faces his toughest test as last year’s Epsom Derby king Adayar provides the principal opposition. The 10-furlong contest also plays a key role in settling the Trainers’ Championship between William Haggas and Charlie Appleby, with a prize pot worth in excess of £1,000,000 up for grabs.
