York brings us the Ebor Festival 2022 later this month as the Flat racing season gradually begins to turn for home.
The prestigious meeting is set to take place between Wednesday, August 17 and Saturday, August 20, with a whopping 10 Group contests among the 28 renewals on the schedule.
All eyes will be on the Juddmonte International, the feature race on the opening day, as Baaeed, the world’s best horse on ratings, makes the step up to 10 furlongs for the first time in his career.

The second day could see leading fillies and mares including Epsom Oaks 1-2 Tuesday and Emily Upjohn and multiple Group 1 winner Alpinista take their chance in the Yorkshire Oaks, while the other top-level contest of the week, the Nunthorpe Stakes on day three, promises a clash of the sprinting generations.
The undercard includes a red-hot St Leger trial courtesy of the Great Voltigeur Stakes, Stradivarius continuing his racing career as he seeks a fourth Lonsdale Cup, and the lucrative Ebor Handicap on the final day.
