Welsh Grand National 2021 Runners and Riders

Ahead of final declarations, former Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Native River heads the weights as the popular gelding returns to handicapping for the first time since winning this race in 2016. Colin Tizzard’s other previous winner, Elegant Escape, is second in the ratings, 10lbs shy of his stablemate.

Secret Reprieve and Potters Corner are the other Welsh Grand National winners hoping to run, although the latter needs five to withdraw to stand a chance of featuring.

At the time of writing, 30 horses still hold entries but only a maximum of field of 20 is permitted to run. If they all stand their ground at final decs then Colorado Doc will sneak in at the bottom of the weights.
