NEW TO PADDY POWER?

If you fancy, gallop over there now to start your research – otherwise here’s a quick round up of the contests on Saturday’s cracking Cheltenham card.

It all kicks off at 12.30pm with the JCB Triumph Trial Juvenile Hurdle. Paul Nicholls will be hoping Magistrato can make it two wins from two for the campaign, although Knight Salute and Mister Allegro are both on hat-tricks.

The Amateur Jockeys’ Handicap Chase takes place at 1.05pm before the first of our races, the Grade 2 From The Horse’s Mouth Podcast Novices’ Chase at 1.40pm. Dan Skelton’s Third Time Lucki is odds-on favourite to make it two from two over fences after a brilliant chasing debut over course and distance last month but Mick Pastor and Captain Tom Cat are likely to provide a stiff test while Sebastopol, with five second-place finishes in a row, completes the field.

It could be a terrific afternoon for Skelton and brother Harry as he saddles the fancied Protektorat in the Paddy Power Gold Cup. A super 20-runner field including Lalor, Al Dancer and last year’s winner Coole Cody is set to go to post at 2.15pm. It’s a race that you won’t want to miss and Paddy’s paying SIX places.

The Skeltons could be on for a treble as Proschema heads the betting for the Paddy Power Games Handicap Hurdle at 2.50pm – and generous Uncle Paddy’s giving money back as a free bet on all losers! The quality racing continues with the Power Feel Like A Favourite Intermediate Handicap Hurdle at 3.25pm before the final renewal of the day, the Evesham Mares’ Open National Hunt Flat Race.

Paddy’s pals at Timeform have run the rule over Saturday’s card at Cheltenham’s November Meeting and delivered their top tip for each race.

12:30: A good-looking renewal of this Grade 2 with MAGISTRATO taken to continue his positive start for Paul Nicholls with another victory. He struck at Chepstow last month and the form of his debut second in France received a boost with the winner Porticello going in at the first time of asking for Gary Moore in a listed race at Wetherby.

13:05: STRICTLYADANCER won a similar event over C&D last time in the manner of one who should have have more to come so he’s fancied to make light of a 5lb rise.

13:40: THIRD TIME LUCKI created an excellent impression when going in at the first time of asking in this sphere over C&D and he should make it 2-2 over fences here given the fluency he displayed in his jumping.

14:15: An ultra-competitive renewal of this feature contest with the vote in favour of AL DANCER. Third from a 5lb higher mark in this race last year, he never figured either start thereafter but returns with his new yard going well and his record fresh is a particular positive.

14:50: The intriguing runner here is SPORTING JOHN returned to hurdling on the back of a breathing operation. His jumping failed to pass muster in Grade 1 company over fences during the spring but he could easily get back on track in handicap company over timber.

15:25: UNEXPECTED PARTY hardly won the deepest of handicaps at Wetherby, but he did it with ridiculous ease and promises to go on improving for a while yet, so the 11lb rise is unlikely to prove a barrier.

15:55: BONTTAY is unbeaten to date and her experience of this track could prove vital in this wide-open mares’ bumper, so she gets the marginal vote ahead of her promising stablemate Leading Theatre, who had plenty up her sleeve when scoring at Worcester last time.
