I’m going to stick with Valley Forge based on his Ffos Las form. Oisin Murphy gave it a great ride to win on his last start and David Probert takes over in the hotseat. The extra couple of furlongs will really suit and bring out the improvements needed.
Space Blues is the obvious one but I’m going for Primo Bacio, who’s back on the track he won on in May. He’s back down in trip after looking too keen when running over a mile. 7f should suit and I fancy him to get the better of Space Blues.
Mt Leinster is an interesting runner and his form at Listowel where he beat Cape Gentleman and Arcadian Sunrise looks really impressive. He’s a good each-way shout, even with a poor draw.

Pont Aven hasn’t won in a while and he isn’t that reliable so I’m going to go for my dad’s horse Batcio. He couldn’t win last time out at Killarney because of his poor start. Killarney suits him and going up in trip will help.
I’m on Jessie Harrington’s filly Discoveries. She improved on her first start to win last time out at the Curragh, where she beat Aidan O’Brien’s filly Tuesday. Discoveries hasn’t run since the end of June and she could be a big improver.
Point Lonsdale has impressed me and it’s very hard to oppose him. He did well to win at Royal Ascot and he looks top drawer. He’s delivered every time so far and he’ll probably do so again on Saturday.
Horse Racing tips: Ruby Walsh’s super Saturday selections across the tracks
Ruby can see Mt Leinster running a big race in the Ebor Handicap.

York 13:50 – Real World
I’ll be surprised if Real World doesn’t tear up and win this. I don’t see how any other horse challenges him.
