It’s hard to get away from IRISH POSEIDON (nap) who has achieved plenty more than the remainder of this field and will be hard to beat with a reproduction of his latest third. Gamin Original could be the one to chase him home if he’s fully tuned up for his reappearance.

17:00 – Palm Beach

Some nice prospects in here, notably PALM BEACH who sets a useful standard on the form of his last couple of runs and he’s open to further progress. Clever Currency seems progressive in this sphere and Bigz Belief should bounce back from a below par run last time.

17:30 – Strange Notions

An open race and a chance is taken on STRANGE NOTIONS, who remains on a competitive mark and will have no problem with this soft ground. Gelee Blanche is preferred of the Willie Mullins duo, while Humm Baby can be best of the rest.

18:00 – Listenheretomejack

Though Youngnedofthehill takes the eye after a tremendous Punchestown run, his win record is poor, so last-time-out course winner LISTENHERETOMEJACK is the selection up slightly in trip. Recent winners Tipping Away and Punters Poet are next best.

18:30 – Sargent Lightfoot

This is competitive but a chance is taken on SARGENT LIGHTFOOT bouncing back to form. He’s been given a break since disappointing at Fairyhouse last time but he looked capable from this sort of mark in a couple of runs prior to that race. Rare Conor won’t mind this ground and cheekpieces could help him return to form. A step up in trip could help point’ winner Thedancingfarrier get back in the winners’ enclosure.

19:00 – Ciankyle

The percentage play is CIANKYLE on the basis that he is proven around here and should have improved from his decent seasonal debut (also here). Great Khan is a frustrating maiden over fences but has the ability to go close, while Ego Des Mottes has the ability to win this if putting everything together.
