Back on slower ground, PRINCE ALEX may be able to resume his progress and add to his impressive 2020 gains. He’s currently 5-6 in handicaps and the reappearance defeat was far from disappointing. Hochfeld is feared most, ahead of Hyanna and Just In Time.
14:10 Majestic Dawn
Cambridgeshire winner MAJESTIC DAWN may well have more to offer in the retained blinkers and looks the type to make his mark in Listed/Group races this season. He’s taken to improve past some higher-rated rivals. Al Zaraqaan is feared most given that he’s far less exposed than Desert Encounter and Stormy Antarctic, though those two veterans are bang there on ratings.
14:50 Aldaary (NAP)
The unbeaten ALDAARY (nap) looks a Group horse in handicapper’s clothing and probably has the class to defy a 12lb rise for his impressive reappearance win. He’s progressing so well that he could make his mark in Pattern races before long. Tawleed, who also represents the Shadwell Estate Company, may prove the biggest danger as he too looks the type to improve further. Talbot is third choice, ahead of handicap debutant Soundslikethunder.
15:25 Hukum
Back up in distance with his reappearance under his belt, HUKUM has a good chance of adding to last season’s two notable wins. He’s still unexposed at about 1m4f and should have more to offer. Morando looks the biggest threat judged on his back class, though Outbox warrants respect based on recent form.
16:00 Haseefah
The forecast slow ground is an unknown for Asiaaf but she’s otherwise interesting back at this venue. Miss Mulligan looks a likely player if she stays the trip but HASEEFAH may be the answer returned to turf. Beauty Stone has been progressive in the visor, albeit in lower grades.
16:35 Chiasma
Blue-blooded CHIASMA has stacks of potential and should build on her Sandown debut effort. Sans Pretention, whose turf effort has substance, may prove the biggest threat.
