This might be a good opportunity for LOVEDAY to get off the mark after her narrow defeat at Listed level last time when just tapped for toe in the closing stages. Harmony Rose should be thereabouts and while this is no easy task for a newcomer, both Gun Dog and Victory Lantern hail from yards that do well with their sprinters.
15:10 Wood Ranger
Third in a premier handicap over just short of 6f at Naas 11 days ago WOOD RANGER may be speedy enough to win over the minimum trip. He could be tested by Linda Barrett who did not get the run of the race at Naas and boasts course and distance form involving a couple of progressive types. Emphatic Dundalk winner The Highway Rat may be anchored by a 19lb rise.

Some nice types in here and a maiden that should produce plenty of winners down the line. The one to side with this time could be GRID who seems to be improving with every run and if he comes on for his reappearance, he won’t be far away. Skilled Warrior looks likely to appreciate any rain that arrives and Apres Toi ran a nice race on debut last month.

Several of these look well handicapped and none more so than MEDWAY who was only narrowly denied at Dundalk last week. Both first-time cheekpieces and a switch to turf could yield improvement and even a repeat of the level of form he showed last time might be enough. Both Castle Stables and El C Wells have been left on the same marks after big runs last time out.

Last week’s Killarney second ALL THE MOLLIES may prove the pick. She has had better fortune with the draw than some of the other main hopefuls, including Drummer and Miss Louise who are interesting on recent Sligo running. Ragtime Red, who has done the majority of his racing at Dundalk, has an each-way chance running off a mark 9lb below his all-weather rating.
17:15 Matilda For Me (NAP)
Strongly-fancied when producing a much-improved display at Limerick, Ellaat is likely to be popular again, but the consistency of MATILDA FOR ME (nap) can be rewarded now after three consecutive placed efforts. Aussie Valentine, though not the force he was, has a fair chance of ending a long losing sequence. Slieve Bearnagh and Tyriana are other possibilities.
