Horse Racing tips: 12/1 shot among Tuesday's Wolverhampton best bets

13:20 – Abel Tasman

A competitive race in which the vote goes to ABEL TASMAN (nap), who produced a powerful finish when scoring over 1m6f here two weeks ago and is a major player again off only 3lb higher at this new trip. Stormy Night put in a dominant display here on his penultimate run and he’s feared most on his return to Tapeta, though Clifftop Heaven went close behind the selection 14 days ago and is respected with Simon Walker booked. Others to consider are Frame Rate and Tinsmith.

13:55 – Ooh Is it

The drop into Class 6 company should see High Security in a better light and he’s respected, along with recent C&D second Nacho. There has been enough promise from OOH IS IT to think he could win a small race though and the addition of a visor could see him break his duck.

14:30 – Good Earth

Doc Sportello ought to go well once again but GOOD EARTH is preferred and can complete a hat-trick. Obtuse looks best of the rest.

15:05 – Boomshalaa

Alphonse Karr remains capable of better and should give BOOMSHALAA a race but Roger Varian’s colt looked well above average when scoring at Kempton on his reappearance and he can defy his penalty en route to better things.

15:40 – Clegane

A few of these lurk on dangerous marks, with Blausee, Motawaafeq and Lofty featuring in that category. Both Soyounique and CLEGANE are improving though and the latter could be able to resume her progress back over 7f and returned to AW.

16:10 – Ilza’eem

A cracking 3yo handicap that wouldn’t look out of place at a Grade 1 track, with all seven runners having something to recommend them. Sabousi looks the type to improve further, while Great King, Silent Film and Summa Peto all make their handicap debut with varying degrees of progress expected. Final Voyage is 3-3 over C&D and Tasfeeq ran okay on his handicap debut but perhaps ILZA’EEM can come out on top. He didn’t need to improve to win at Redcar on his return but his Kempton second in November looks very solid form and the best could be yet to come.

16:45 – Runway Queen

This looks a minefield with most of the field open to some progress. Kayfast Warrior ran well over C&D a fortnight ago and along with Kingdom Found looks best of those with handicap experience. It’s unlikely we have seen the best of either Mustazeed or RUNWAY QUEEN yet though and the latter may take a big step forward now up in distance for her handicap debut.

17:15 – Fragrant Storm

The Tide Turns should be a different proposition now handicapping over further and he’s high on the shortlist, while Tequila Tequila improved for a step up in trip last time and also has plenty in her favour. FRAGRANT STORM showed clear winning potential at Bath last week though and she gets the nod.
