17:15 Norman Kindu

A case can be made for all of these but the most persuasive one is for NORMAN KINDU who looked to have more to offer when a smooth victor over C&D and can defy a 3 lb rise in the weights. Southwell-scorer Moneykenny is rated next best, with fellow handicap debutant Zinc White not taken lightly either.

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

17:50 Appreciate

Saeed Bin Suroor holds a decent hand, with Secret Moment’s Ayr third last summer and Moment Of Beauty’s recent C&D debut fifth both well advertised since. The well-related Traila will also be popular but the vote goes to APPRECIATE, who shaped with a deal of promise in one heavy-ground start last autumn (winner, third and fifth all successful since). Of the newcomers Praiano looks the most likely for tonight, with Cedar Rapids and Charging Thunder well worth watching for the future.

18:20 Bint Australia

A half-sister to three middle-distance winners, BINT AUSTRALIA pulled hard in a messy AW affair on her first attempt at 1m2f for new connections earlier in the year and still has potential on her handicap debut. The similarly lightly raced Musahaba is another who is capable of better if dealing with the softer ground back up in trip, while Mayfair Pompette is surely up to winning off this mark if she can sort out her issues at the stalls.

18:50 Maximum Risk

Several of these clashed in a messy race over C&D recently and, although Storm Dreamer was definitely compromised by trouble in running, MAXIMUM RISK finished some way ahead of them in second and can do so again. We Still Believe and There’s No Danger are others who had excuses last time and they also deserve consideration.

19:25 Miquelon

Fast Medicine is a leading contender but preference is for MIQUELON who made a decent start for this yard 16 days ago. Mashaan is more exposed but has the form to figure, along with Mayelf who ran well at Southwell recently.

19:55 Scale Force

Question marks against a number of these and SCALE FORCE, who’s fine on soft ground and is better treated on turf now, being 11lb lower than when running at Chelmsford five days ago, could be the answer. Consistent front-runner Araifjan should go well again too, despite a career-high mark and a wide stall.

20:25 Readman

A tricky handicap, complicated by the fact that hardly any of the runners have form on soft ground. It’s difficult to rule many of them out, but the eye is drawn to a couple of unexposed types at the foot of the weights. Ava Go Joe remains with potential after a close second at Musselburgh first time out but narrow preference is for READMAN, who took a major step forward on his reappearance and doesn’t look overburdened on his handicap debut.
