He had to work quite hard for it but it was a step up on his earlier efforts this winter and it’s possible he will find more again in the coming weeks. The main danger can come from Zamarkhan as Eden Collonges has a query about the suitability of this trip.

Oliver Greenall has another good chance in the second division with AUTHORIZO (nap) who ran well against an unexposed one when back on good ground at Southwell last week and is ready to strike again. Two Blondes was a long way from his best form in the autumn but he returns to action on a modest mark and has gone well fresh in the past. Follow Your Fire is preferred of the remainder.

This looks a good opportunity for CHRISTOPHER WOOD to make a successful start to his chase career. He has the best recent form on offer and has shown that he doesn’t mind travelling a long way from his Ditcheat home. Beyond The Clouds isn’t far behind the selection on official figures, but his latest run wasn’t great.
