17:25 – Scudamore

This revolves around SCUDAMORE, the mount of Serena Brotherton, who will be hard to beat if in anything like the same form as when bolting up on his handicap debut at Southwell last month. Few of his rivals look solid and although Zabeel Star is on a favourable mark, Man Of Verve may be the best alternative as, unlike most of these, he ran well on his latest start.

18:00 – Give em The Slip

A couple of these have already shown ability including Aunt Agatha, but preference is for GIVE ‘EM THE SLIP who has been placed in all three starts and for whom the return to 6f looks an interesting move. Money for either of the nicely bred pair Corra Linn or Sacristy should be noted.

18:30 – Corndavon Lad

There shouldn’t be much between recent Musselburgh 1-2 Perfect Soldier and Lagenda while Royal Countess is an interesting each-way option. However, the form of his recent C&D win couldn’t have worked out better and CORNDAVON LAD is fancied to strike again.

19:05 – Langholm

Having run so well over C&D last time Caballero has to be high on the list, while his stablemate Mi Capricho also has to be considered on this return. However, LANGHOLM ran really well to finish fourth on his reappearance here a fortnight ago and the form has been boosted by the subsequent wins of the second and third.

19:35 – Hong Kong Harry

There’s nothing to choose between HONG KONG HARRY and Be Proud on their latest running over C&D, but the runner-up has done all his winning over 5f and the bigger field will test his stamina, whereas the selection is the only one open to further improvement. The consistent Chookie Dunedin, who likes it here and arrives in good form, should go well once more.

20:05 – Dream With Me

A couple come into this in good form including Ayr Poet who is much respected despite being 6lb higher in a better race, but preference is for DREAM WITH ME who has won two of his three starts since returning in March and remains relatively unexposed. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see Anythingtoday run well now dropping to this level for the first time in a while.

20:35 – Puckle

Few look solid in this, an exception being PUCKLE (nap) who won twice last season and has run well on both starts since returning. She looks the one to beat, with Forus and Oliver’s Betty appearing to be best of the others.
