14:00 Khunan
Where’s Diana is respected after her brave front-running win over C&D on her debut last week but preference is for the other penalised runner in KHUNAN, who found plenty of progress when scoring in good style at Ripon and sets a fairly useful standard on that form. Another interesting contender is May Blossom, who showed clear promise with her close fourth at Redcar 16 days ago and looks a likely improver on her second start.
NEW TO PADDY POWER?
14:35 Regal Mirage (NAP)
The one that appeals most is dual course winner REGAL MIRAGE (nap), who got back in the groove with a comfortable success in cheekpieces at Beverley and is a major player again under a penalty in his bid for an eleventh career win. The main danger is Majalaat, who made a good start for his new yard when rallying well to go close behind a resurgent rival at Newcastle 13 days ago.
15:10 Cote D’Azure
All of the runners come with some risks attached but the vote goes to COTE D’AZUR, who did well to finish a close second after pulling hard over C&D last week and is a big player if he can repeat that form. Rains Of Castamere has a bit to prove on a couple of counts, while Perfect Swiss looks on a tough enough mark and Gallipoli needs to turn things around, but the first-named was progressive at the end of last season and he’s feared most on his return to the Flat.
15:50 Highly Sprung
There’s not much early pace among the seven runners here and the race could prove tactical. In the hope that a reappearance run in a big field at Doncaster has blown away the cobwebs, HIGHLY SPRUNG is selected to repeat his win in this contest two years ago. True Mason is very well handicapped on his best form and he’s feared most, ahead of Mr Orange and Triggered.
16:25 Footstepstothehart
A trappy 3yo handicap. Bergerac, Tiny Danser, Thornaby Pearl and Readman can all have their case argued but FOOTSTEPSTOTHEHART might be worth chancing. He ran his best race as a 2yo over C&D, the only previous occasion he’s encountered fast ground, and looks the type to do better this year.

17:00 King Frankel
Godolphin’s King Of Tomorrow looked inexperienced when favourite at Kempton on his debut in December and is a likely improver on his reappearance, but he has plenty to find with Mark Johnston’s well-bred colt KING FRANKEL, who has finished runner-up on his last three starts and was a clear second behind a very useful rival here on his seasonal return three weeks ago.
17:30 Ventura Express
Soul Seeker served notice he wouldn’t be long in winning when chasing home a well-treated rival at Haydock on Saturday but the drop in trip isn’t sure to be in his favour. There are no such concerns with VENTURA EXPRESS, who bolted up on his stable debut here last week and looks well treated under his penalty. He can go in again.
