Paddy Power has picked out his best bets for the final day of the Grand National Festival at Aintree.
The main man tipped up his eight top selections on the latest episode of our From The Horse’s Mouth podcast, including a couple of picks for big event itself.
New to Paddy Power?
13.45 – Hometown Boy
HOMETOWN BOY only ran over 3m once before when winning a point-to-point, but loves decent ground and is fairly consistent. He might be a nice price each-way.
14.25 – Dreal Deal
Most of DREAL DEAL‘s winning has been done on softer ground but he has won on good before. He’s on a seven-timer and missed Cheltenham to stay fresh for this.
15.00 – Shishkin
Based on Cheltenham, Nico De Boinville could let the others go, have a cup of tea, and still win on SHISHKIN.
15.35 – Roksana
ROKSANA was third at Cheltenham in the Mares Hurdle over 2m4f, but in my view is much better over this trip so she as a massive chance, especially with the mares’ allowance.
16.15 – Johnbb
This is a big step up in trip, but I think there’s a decent chance JOHNBB will eek out a bit of improvement. He is carrying a light-enough weight so he will do as a speculative each-way.

17.15 – Burrows Saint/Talkischeap (EW)
Every time BURROWS SAINT has run on good or yielding ground he’s won, including the 2019 Irish Grand National – which is usually a great pointer for the big one. As for TALKISCHEAP, the better the ground the better his chance. He hosed up in the Bet365 Gold Cup at Sandown over 3m5f, which suggests this marathon trip will be no bother to him. He has a squeak at a price.
18.20 – Fruit N Nut
Aintree could easily end with a win for the Northerners. Brian Hughes and Donald McCain team up for this hat-trick seeker FRUIT N NUT, who looks to be improving and looks to want lively enough ground.
