Paddy Power has made his selections for the second day of the Grand National Festival at Aintree.
Speaking on the latest episode of Paddy Power’s From The Horse’s Mouth podcast, the main man has tipped up his best bets in each of Friday’s contests on Merseyside.

13.45 – Edwardstone
The County Hurdle form of EDWARDSTONE is working out really well on a form line through the winner, Belfast Banter, and Echoes In Rain who hosed up at Fairyhouse. That gives Edwardstone a big boost, as he travelled really well in the County. He’s a decent each-way bet here.
14.20 – Dusart
This is a Grade 1 and with all due respect, DUSART is the only one that looks likely to be Grade 1 standard. Belfast Banter is the danger.

14.50 – Shan Blue
SHAN BLUE was well beaten at Cheltenham but ran a funny race, putting his foot on the gas half-way through and not getting home. The flatter track and longer trip will suit, I think.
15.25 – Master Tommytucker
I was between MASTER TOMMYTUCKER and Fakir D’Oudairies, but have just gone for the former as he looks better value. His form on good ground is very good and he might put it up to the top two in the market.

16.05 – Visioman
VISIOMAN won a really good little race at Limerick in October and really wants this better ground, so he could be in the mix. The trainer Henry de Bromhead has had this race in mind for quite some time, although he hasn’t had such a great run since Cheltenham.
16.40 – Cape Gentleman
CAPE GENTLEMAN has only had three hurdle runs and is improving all the time. Emmet Mullins has a fantastic record when he sends one across the Irish sea, so take note. Bravemansgame was beaten too easily, and by too far, at Cheltenham for me to fancy him in another Grade 1 so I’m passing him by.
17.15 – Leoncavallo
LEONCAVALLO looked like he didn’t stay in the Martin Pipe at Cheltenham but ran really well for most of the race. The drop in trip will suit for sure.
