This could be a good opportunity for speedy front-runner HARROGATE (nap), who didn’t quite see out the stiff 5f at Newcastle when fifth on his first two stable starts but might be hard to catch on this easier track. Alsvinder was second on Polytrack recently and competes off a much lower turf mark here. Ustath also returns to turf on a good mark and is another to consider.

Show Yourself, Showtime Elle and Full Of Sass all have good claims if judged on their best nursery form but TANTASTIC and Prospect are both fit from the AW and may fight this out. The latter chased home a useful rival in a Lingfield novice last month but Tantastic deserves significant credit for recovering from an unfortunate start to take third in a Newcastle handicap three weeks ago, and will be a tough nut to crack if able to transfer that level of performance to turf.

Wise Eagle has won twice on Tapeta this year and is respected but today’s fast ground presents him with a different test and preference is for Mick Channon’s consistent filly SINGLE, who finished just behind Severus Alexander when fourth on Polytrack last month but is now 1lb lower than when winning on fast turf last summer.
15:20 Parallel World
Karl Burke’s PARALLEL WORLD disappointed when last in action and is much better known for his AW exploits but he produced a good performance to win a Class 4 handicap at Wolverhampton in January and might be too good for this field. Equidae would make much more appeal if this race was on Fibresand but he’s in good form and ought to be on the premises.
15:50 Chookie Dunedin
Alix James escapes a penalty for his recent AW success and is not opposed lightly but CHOOKIE DUNEDIN, an AW winner two starts ago, was a very creditable third off today’s mark when back on turf at Doncaster ten days ago and gets the nod. Eldelbar has also been in good form on the AW in recent months and is next on the list.

16:20 Sage Advice
This will be the quickest ground SAGE ADVICE has encountered but he was placed off today’s mark on the last of his six Flat starts in Ireland and makes his British Flat debut after running a big race in a hot handicap hurdle at last month’s Cheltenham Festival. He gets the verdict over Iconic Belle, who was in excellent form on the AW last month and is probably still on a workable mark for today’s turf return.
16:50 Avior Star
A chance is taken on the fitness of seasonal debutant AVIOR STAR, who ran some good races in defeat in September. Nodsasgoodasawink disappointed over 7f last time but her previous two runs over sprint trips suggested she might be able to nick a race off her basement mark at some stage. Blissful Song displayed improvement to win a Fibresand maiden last month and it will be interesting to see how she fares back on turf.
