14:55 Kestenna

Kestenna obviously took a big step forward from her first try when going back to back on the all-weather in pretty impressive fashion at Wolverhampton and then fairly bolting up under a penalty at Kempton over course and distance. Lilac Road would appear to be the main danger, however she didn’t seem to take a step forward from her effort at Doncaster when clearly outclassed up at the highest level last time and drops back down the ladder.

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

15:30 King Zain

King Zain looked destined for the very top when making his racecourse debut over 7f at this venue. However, the step up into group to company on only his second lifetime start found him out as he was knocked around early and never got back into the contest.

Again he dipped his toe into deep water at Goodwood and was found wanting possibly on the weak side physically. He did get a nice confidence boosting win towards the back end in novice company down the hill at Lingfield. He will probably get further in time, however this looks a perfect starting opportunity and he has the most experience in the field.

16:02 Fooraat

As a full sister to Benbatl, Fooraat was always going to come with a big home reputation and she didn’t let her backers down when bolting up in impressive fashion on the all-weather. She didn’t quite fulfil that potential in three subsequent runs last term but she clearly has a massive upside to her returning back on a synthetic for a yard that have started well. We look like getting a decent price as we have some solid runners in opposition the likes of Lavenders Blue are going to make the market for us.

Kempton Race sJun20

16:35 Sleeping lion

Sleeping Lion makes his debut for the new stable this season and finds himself on a pretty attractive handicap mark off of which he is sure to be competitive. He is blessed with an awful amount of natural ability and the switch to new surroundings can have the desired effect of perking up his ideas as he has looked a little tricky in the past. There looks to be a decent pace on in here which will suit his hold up tactics and he can land a decent prize on his first try for the new team.
