Horse Racing tips: Timeform's 3 best bets at Newcastle on Friday

16.00 – Glen Again (NAP)

All four of these horses are making their handicap debut, but none look better treated than GLEN AGAIN, who finished runner-up in a minor event over course and distance that is working out well in January, and got off the mark at the third attempt when beating the re-opposing Defined over 1¼m at Chelmsford last time. That rival has since got off the mark himself, and Glen Again finds himself 1lb better off with him as a result. The step up in trip should be in his favour also and he is a strong fancy to follow up.

16.30 – Everkyllachy (Each-Way)

EVERKYLLACHY has been a model of consistency since joining George Boughey, gaining a deserved win over this trip at Lingfield last month and shaping well just six days later when finishing second at Southwell. It is therefore probably best to forgive her a rare below-par performance back at Southwell last time, and this course winner should be hard to keep out of the places in this open handicap. The booking of Andrea Atzeni catches the eye.

17.30 – Buniann (NB)

BUNIANN goes particularly well at this track and has four course and distance wins to his name. He was strong in the betting and resumed winning ways with a bit in hand last month, typically travelling well before being produced with his effort around a furlong from home, and just kept up to his work once hitting the front. A subsequent 3lb rise puts him up to a career-high mark, but he clearly relishes this test, and appears to have another fantastic chance.
