13:50 Uttoxeter – Theme Tune
I’m going to keep it simple here. Theme Tune is in flying form and he loves soft ground which will be in his favour here. Jonjo O’Neill had a rare British winner at Cheltenham too in Sky Pirates so it makes sense to back Theme Tune.
14:05 Kempton – Zoffee
I’m going for Zoffee here – a horse I’ve tipped up a few times. I’m forgiving the last time where it was pulled up at Doncaster after a big blunder in the race. I think it’ll be able to bounce back here.
14:25 Uttoxeter – Shanty Alley
I was between Eclair Surf and Shanty Alley and I’ve just gone for the latter. Generally he’s a pretty good jumper and I’m forgiving his last run where he finished second at Wincanton. He’s in good form and he’s always there or there about. I’d side with Shanty Alley over Eclair Surf.
14:40 Kempton – Son Of Camas
I’m contractually obliged to tip up Son Of Camas every time it runs so I’m going to go for it again. It’s Son Of Camas’ fourth run in a row at Kempton. They obviously think he likes the track but he hasn’t won there yet! One of these days, Son Of Camas will come good and I’m hoping it’s Saturday. If he doesn’t, I’ll keep tipping him until he does!
15:00 Uttoxeter – Wilde About Oscar
I’m pretty keen about Wilde About Oscar here and it’s my NAP of the weekend. It’s probably a horse that’s just below top class. He’s giving plenty of weight away to the others but I think Wilde About Oscar might have too much quality for them. Back the quality horse here and it should be rewarding.
15:15 Kempton – My Way
I’m going for My Way in this one. It won from the front the last time here and I love the way Nicholls horses can follow up because they’re usually a hard fit. I don’t see My Way being stopped.
15:35 Uttoxeter – Achille
I’ve gone for Achille here over the favourite Time To Get Up. It’s an older horse, who’s now 11, ridden by Charlie Deutsch. It’s a bit of a leap of faith but I think there’s each way value here. I’m hoping it sees out the trip but it might relish the conditions.
