Ask Henry would’ve probably won only for stumbling and falling last time at Taunton. That was back in November and I’m presuming they didn’t want to run him on winter heavy ground so have given him a break, he is up 3lbs for that run, but this looks a weak enough race bar the top and he appeal most.
It looks really interesting that Eskendash has switched to Olly Murphy’s yard and has had wind op. He didn’t run too bad the last day at Wetherby in October and I could see him improving for the change of yards so he’s a decent price at around 9/1, it’s a poor race.
Eclair Surf has been improving all season and comes into this having won going away at Sandown last time over 3miles. I thought the handicapper has been quite generous in only putting him up 5lbs for that win, so I’d be surprised if he wasn’t heavily involved at the finish.
If Didtheyleaveuoutto can get his jumping together he would look very well handicapped off a mark of 130. He’s had two spins on the flat around Kempton and I’m hoping cause it’s been nearly 5 months since he’s ran over hurdles he might have jumped enough at home to have forgotten about his 3 falls!
Really competitive race and one I’ve always thought could be well handicapped from earlier in the season was Nickolson. He didn’t seem to handle heavy ground at Sandown on his handicap debut and back here on a better surface I’d be disappointed if he couldn’t show up much better. He should be a bit of a price so would appeal to me each way.
I’m going to be quite boring here and put up Time To Get Up who’s favourite but he could have a stone in hand here. He’s a very lightly raced 8yo having only had 6 career starts, one of which he finished second in a maiden hurdle to Monkfish. He’s had 3 starts for Jonjo O’Neill and won very easy at Wincanton last time in which the handicapper has put him up 8lbs to a mark of 138 but to me he still could have a stone in hand as I mentioned so it’s all about Time To Get Up.

13:50 Uttoxeter – Ask Henry
Ask Henry would’ve probably won only for stumbling and falling last time at Taunton. That was back in November and I’m presuming they didn’t want to run him on winter heavy ground so have given him a break, he is up 3lbs for that run, but this looks a weak enough race bar the top and he appeal most.
14:05 Kempton – Eskendash
It looks really interesting that Eskendash has switched to Olly Murphy’s yard and has had wind op. He didn’t run too bad the last day at Wetherby in October and I could see him improving for the change of yards so he’s a decent price at around 9/1, it’s a poor race.
14:25 Uttoxeter – Eclair Surf
Eclair Surf has been improving all season and comes into this having won going away at Sandown last time over 3miles. I thought the handicapper has been quite generous in only putting him up 5lbs for that win, so I’d be surprised if he wasn’t heavily involved at the finish.
14:40 Kempton – Didtheyleaveuoutto
If Didtheyleaveuoutto can get his jumping together he would look very well handicapped off a mark of 130. He’s had two spins on the flat around Kempton and I’m hoping cause it’s been nearly 5 months since he’s ran over hurdles he might have jumped enough at home to have forgotten about his 3 falls!
15:00 Uttoxeter – Nickolson
Really competitive race and one I’ve always thought could be well handicapped from earlier in the season was Nickolson. He didn’t seem to handle heavy ground at Sandown on his handicap debut and back here on a better surface I’d be disappointed if he couldn’t show up much better. He should be a bit of a price so would appeal to me each way.
15:15 Kempton – My Way
My Way bolted up over C&D off a 9lbs lower mark last time in first time blinkers and if they have the same affect he should go in again.
15:35 Uttoxeter – Time To Get Up
I’m going to be quite boring here and put up Time To Get Up who’s favourite but he could have a stone in hand here. He’s a very lightly raced 8yo having only had 6 career starts, one of which he finished second in a maiden hurdle to Monkfish.
