14:10 – Kingston Mimosa

There was a lot to like about the way KINGSTON MIMOSA thrashed a couple of these rivals at Fakenham last month and he should find this easier than when tailed off at Taunton last time. Top Beak was a distant second in that Fakenham contest and might chase the selection home again. Flanagans Field could prove best of the rest.

14:40 – Ginger Du Val

There will probably be more to come from Whispering Gypsy on her hurdles debut, but she needs to improve to land what looks a decent race for the grade and GINGER DU VAL looks the better option. She showed promise on her hurdles debut at Wincanton and was in the process of building on that in a void race at Plumpton last week. Blue Hawaii is next best.

15:10 – Dandolo Du Gite

There’s every chance last month’s dual winner Fire Away has more to give but he’s taken on with a resurgent DANDOLO DU GITE, who drops slightly in grade, goes well at around 2m and can provide in-form Neil Mulholland with another winner.

15:40 – Ballymoy

Barring mishap BALLYMOY should win this easily, as the useful chase form he has shown the last twice is light years ahead of anything the others have produced. Picking who will be best of the rest is the difficult bit. Perhaps Canada Kid will be the one for the forecast on his second rules start, ahead of fellow point winner Matthew Man.

16:15 – Be My Sea

Poppa Poutine, Cooking Fat and Aheadfullofdreams are all better than they showed last time and there can be optimism they will produce better performances today. Handicap newcomer Skipness is another interesting contender but preference is for BE MY SEA (NAP), who kept on for a promising fifth over 2m5f at Ascot on his last hurdle start and should be better suited by this longer trip. Poppa Poutine is feared most now back on better ground.

16:50 – No Limitations

Cousin Pascal was a good second in a novice hunter chase at Leicester last month and is a tempting option, but preference is for NO LIMITATIONS who filled the same place in the other division of that race, with today’s better ground a possible positive for this lightly raced 10yo. William Easterby saddles three interesting runners, who should be monitored in the betting.

17:25 – Fruit N Nut

A tough call, but FRUIT N NUT is narrowly preferred to Vossi. They look closely matched on these terms, but the former is a big, scopey type who is built to carry weight. He is taken to defy a penalty. Toutatis looks best of the rest.
