19:10 Southwell – Last Date
Very competitive Handicap. Plenty will feel they have chances but the one that stands out for me is Last Date. Very impressive on debut at the track two weeks ago, he should come on for that run.
Generally there is huge improvement from first to second run at Southwell and the fact Last Date was just beaten on the line could make him very hard to beat. Dropped also in the weights all boxes seem to be ticked for last Date to go very close.

19:40 Southwell – Jazz Legend
The lucky last at Southwell is one of the better races on the card over six furlongs. I expect a blanket finish in this race and I am siding with Jazz Legend who is no spring chicken but is a four time course and distance winner. Owhatanight is likely to go off favourite in this race and it’s worth noting they went across the line together last time, when Jazz Legend just got caught on the line.
That was his best run for some time and he comes into this race on better terms in the weights. Jockey Kieran O’Neill takes over in the saddle. It could be a tight finish between them once again.
