They both agreed that it looks set to be a cracking renewal at the 2021 Cheltenham Festival, where Paddy Power is offering non-runner money back on all 28 races so there’s no risk of losing out if your pick withdraws before final declarations.
You can see what Paddy, Tony, Nina, Ruby Walsh and Frank Hickey had to say about the Champion Hurdle in the video BELOW.
NINA CARBERRY
I was very impressed by HONEYSUCKLE at Leopardstown in the Irish Champion Hurdle. You can trust her more than last year’s winner EPATANTE, who is a bit in and out.
I’d love to see Jamie Moore win it on GOSHEN but he will probably make the running.
ABACADABRAS could run a big race off 12/1 and it’ll really suit him. He has the tow and there’s more improvement in him.
TONY MULLINS
It’s a fantastic Champion Hurdle, very competitive. I just can’t see an outsider having a chance here.
HONEYSUCKLE is brilliant and she’s improving which is unbelievable. She’s a better mare this year than last. I’d be worried about EPATANTE‘s Christmas run when she lost to SILVER STREAK.
I’m a GOSHEN fan but to have three ordinary runs like he did is worrying and I think he got a breather in the Wincanton race. He’s the best horse in the race but I’d be worried he’s not the horse he was last year.
I’m going to go for ABACADABRAS. If this lad gets a chance off the last bend, he’ll win.
