He was beaten by a potentially smart type on debut, and easily drew clear of a subsequent winner on his latest start, leaving the impression he had more gears to slip into to. The booking of Hollie Doyle very much catches the eye now moving up in class and he should be very hard to beat with much more to come.

19:20 Evasive Power (NB)

Evasive Power was fairly useful at his best when trained in Ireland and he confirmed the impression that he was in better form than his recent starts suggest when resuming winning ways over course and distance last time. He proved just about as good as ever with the cheekpieces back on to end a losing run that stretched back to December 2018. The fact he beat an in-form, well handicapped sort with a bit to spare marks that out as strong form, and he should prove hard to beat now turned out under a 5 lb penalty.

The return to Kempton will be in his favour, and he is handicapped to strike in a wide-open contest.
