That effort came off a two-month break and he should be sharper this time, with cheekpieces fitted.

Connections have done very well in finding OWHATANIGHT a perfectly winnable handicap, despite a 10lb penalty, to supplement his two recent classified wins. With Jazz Legend hard to predict, perhaps Puchita can chase him home.
13:30 Drakefell
Three of these are closely matched at the weights but DRAKEFELL can relish dominating this small field. Last year’s winner Zapper Cass faces a much stiffer task this time but still edges out Doc Sportello as the main danger.
14:05 Tawny Port
A trappy race in which all five hold some kind of chance. Preference is for TAWNY PORT, who wasn’t beaten far at Kempton last time and might be on his way back to form. King Of Stars has a big pull in the weights with Mulzim and is taken to reverse last-time-out places. Ornate might prove best of the rest.

A tough race to call and maybe it’s worth taking a chance on BEALACH coming good on his third start for Gary Moore. This will be his first run beyond 1m2f for the stable and his best form last season was over 1m4f. There could be more to come at this longer trip. The Resdev Way looks next best ahead of Drew Breeze.
15:15 Red Stripes (NAP)
It’s been a while since RED STRIPES (nap) got his head in front, but he has been in good form this year and can gain just reward for his consistency. Moveonup has some solid course form and could be the main danger, ahead of Kyllukey.
15:50 Loose Chippings
This is remarkably weak and LOOSE CHIPPINGS won’t get many better opportunities to add to his sole career victory. He is difficult to oppose. Hell Of A Year is a tentative pick as next best and nothing else makes any appeal.
