Just three weeks to go and Matt's getting jiggy.

Appreciate It – Supreme Novices, Tuesday

Outstanding bumper performer has already showed he’s a class hurdler. What I love about the Champion Bumper runner-up Appreciate It is that he will stay much further than two miles but he has the speed to land the Supreme. He jumps for fun and is a great big horse who will make a chaser one day. Class act. Mullins banker.

Shishkin – Arkle Chase, Tuesday

He won’t just win the Arkle but he will hack up and show he’s the best jumps horse in training in the UK. Last year’s Supreme Novices Hurdle hero Shishkin has done nothing wrong in three runs over fences and is just an absolute machine. Luckily Willie Mullins has Energumene in the field which currently makes Shishkin very backable. Barring accidents that can happen in any race I have no doubt Shishkin will win for Nicky Henderson and Nico de Boinville.

Goshen, Champion Hurdle, Tuesday

I was all over Saint Roi for the Champion Hurdle but now he is injured I have had to change my mind! And I’m delighted to do so, as I’d love Goshen to win for Jamie and Gary Moore. I see no reason why he won’t take the prize after a facile success at Wincanton the other day and I’ve long wanted to take on Epatante and Honeyscukle. Goshen might just be different league.

Roksana, Mares’ Hurdle, Tuesday

Concertina will be a strong fancy for many here in the Mares’ Hurdle, but if she turns up, I expect the Skelton horse Roksana to take some beating. She goes well at the track and stays strong and is sure to run a big one. Far from disgraced against some of the top stayers this season.

Imperial Aura, Ryanair Chase, Thursday

Has been a brilliant servant for Kim Bailey and already a Cheltenham Festival winner over fences. Took a fall recently but before that was still progressing and he’ll get a positive aggressive ride from David Bass. Imperial Aura is sure to give us a run for our money.
