Pont Aval was really disappointing for Willie Mullins at Limerick over Christmas and has to improve an awful lot from that run to contend here. LIFETIME AMBITION sets the standard, but he’s just been a bit disappointing recently.
He’s been third to Frere Tuck, fourth to Stattler, second to Clondaw Secret, second to Fighter Allen and fourth to Julies Stowaway in a bumper. That’s plenty of good form and his day has to come, it could be Sunday.
JUNGLE BOOGIE won well on his debut at Clonmel back in November, where he beat Angels Dawn. He’s a nice horse and a really good jumper. Punchestown will suit him and while I reckon Pont Aval will struggle in the race before, I believe Jungle Boogie could win here with Paul Townend onboard.

Willie Mullins doesn’t have anything in this race, but Jack Kennedy is riding PICTURES OF HOME for my dad Ted Walsh. He stays really strongly and ran okay on his handicap debut here at Punchestown a couple of weeks back.
Jack rode him then, and he made a mistake at the second last then ran on to finish fifth. He’s only a five-year-old, but the trip will suit him and he has to have a chance. He will need to improve a bit, but if he jumps a bit better than the last day, he is a good each-way shout.
Willie Mullins has STARMAN in this 2m affair, who is a great horse. He works fine at home, he goes well and he’s Willie’s best chance at Punchestown on Sunday in the lucky last.
Horse Racing tips: Ruby Walsh’s 4 that should do the business at Punchestown on Sunday
The trip will suit Pictures of Home in the 3.30pm.
