Saturday 14:35 Lingfield – Crackling (Patrick Kennelly)
Clearly this horse difficult to train, with only three lifetime starts, having won on debut here at Lingfield back on New Year’s Eve of 2018! However, CRACKLING has the back class to win this with Ryan Moore a fascinating jockey booking.
In that win in 2018, he beat a horse called Gin Palace who has since won five times. Crackling is rated 78 here, Gin Palace is rated 89 now. You can excuse his reappearance at Kempton back in November, as it was his first start in two years and he was slowly away.
Also, you can excuse any horse for getting beaten at Southwell (even though it was only a head), which happened last time out. One-out-of-one at the track, the rating looks very eye-catching and Moore booked, it’s all looking positive. The only thing we need is a good price!
Saturday 16:45 Scotland v Wales – Scotland (-5) (Graham Temple)
Scotland will be on a high after winning the Calcutta Cup at Twickenham last weekend, which was their first victory against England at the venue in 38 years. They’re clearly a decent, well organised outfit and having beaten Wales in Parc Y Scarlets last October, they’ll be confident of repeating the dose at Murrayfield this Saturday afternoon.

Wales had an extra man on the pitch at home against Ireland for most of the match last week, yet only narrowly won. George North and a couple of others are out with injuries for this game, that doesn’t auger well for Wayne Pivac men. I can see Scotland winning by at least two scores and covering the handicap comfortably.

Ireland were impressive in defeat against the Welsh last week. Most teams would be hammered if they were minus a player for most of any game of rugby, as Ireland were in that game. It was incredible that they went so close under the circumstances.

Ireland will be looking to get back on an even keel on Sunday afternoon. Andy Farrell is doing a good job at the helm and I expect Ireland to tidy things up on the discipline front to get the job done against the French in this must-win game.
Sunday 19:00 Everton v Fulham – Everton to win (Carl Monaghan)
Fulham have only won one of their last 10 matches and have failed to score in their last two Premier League games. Meanwhile, Everton, who are just three points off fourth in the division, are going well with only one defeat in their last eight matches in all competitions. Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Richarlison and James Rodriguez have all been back amongst the goals recently as the Toffees have notched up 10 goals in their last three outings.

Carlo Ancelotti is the real deal, and the Italian coach has changed the Everton mindset. The Toffees are now winning and drawing games that in the past they would have lost. Their recent win at Leeds and the late point at Old Trafford the most recent examples.
