Paddy Power is offering enhanced odds as part of the Countdown To Cheltenham podcast series, where Ruby Walsh and Frank Hickey take a look at the 2021 Festival and deliver their antepost tips. The Paddy Power Stayers’ Hurdle and the Triumph Hurdle are the races dissected in the latest episode – and there are three specials on offer after our main men chewed the fat about potential runners.
You can listen to the full show BELOW.
PAISLEY PARK is the antepost favourite for the Paddy Power Stayers’ Hurdle, despite the 2019 winner flopping in last year’s renewal as 50/1 outsider Lisnagar Oscar was first past the post. The feature race on day three provides the setting for round three of his ding-dong battle with Thyme Hill.
Paisley Park’s rival drew first blood in November’s Long Distance Hurdle at Newbury with a one-and-a-half-length win, Thyme Hill flipped the result three weeks later with victory by a neck in the Long Walk Hurdle at Ascot.
We’ve enhanced the nine-year-old Paisley Park’s price to 4/1 from 3/1 for the Paddy Power Stayers’ Hurdle as part of our Countdown to Cheltenham.
Ruby revealed that ZANAHIYR is the “horse I would ride” during his natter with Frank about the Triumph Hurdle, which opens the action on the fourth and final day of racing at Prestbury Park. The four-year-old is one of a number of potential runners Gordon Elliott has entered for the race.
Zanahiyr has been in hot form since switching to Elliott’s yard last year winning on his last three starts, including a 14 length victory over Saint Sam at Fairyhouse in November.
Zanahiyr is currently available at an enhanced price of 3/1 from 5/2 as part of our Countdown to Cheltenham.
