Frank Hickey was asked to pick four horses for a life-changing Lucky 15 for the 2021 Cheltenham Festival – where Paddy Power is non-runner money back (NRMB) on all races – on the third episode of our special Countdown To Cheltenham podcast.
Frank was quick to pick three horses before delivering his final selection, who he believes has gone under the radar ahead of the County Handicap Hurdle on the final day.

Pertemps Network Final (Handicap Hurdle) – The Bosses Oscar
I’ve been banging on about this for a long time. Gordon Elliot has won the last three renewals of the Pertemps Final and he’s had runners finish first and second in two of those years. THE BOSSES OSCAR has been laid out for the race. I think he’s got a big chance.
How he finished fifth in last year’s Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle was amazing. You thought he was going to tail off with a mile and a quarter to go, but he stayed on. If he hadn’t have been hampered the last flight, he might even have gone close to winning.
Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle – Gentlemansgame
A horse I really like. The fact he is entered at Leopardstown on Saturday 1.05pm over 2m 6f would suggest to me he’s going for the Albert Bartlett Hurdle over 3m at the Festival.
The Albert Bartlett looks to be lacking in depth. The Irish are going to be far stronger than the English challengers in the 3m novice division – and I’m going to side with GENTLEMANSGAME.

Arkle Chase – Energumene
I keep saying it – ENERGUMENE is going to beat Shishkin! Sure, Shishkin won last weekend at Doncaster but I wasn’t mad about his performance in places. I don’t know why everyone is eulogising about him.
Energumene is going to give Shishkin a right run for his money and turn him over.
County Handicap Hurdle – Sea Ducor
The fact he won at Gowran Park when he was weak in the market would suggest he probably wasn’t fully wound up. He also ran a really nice race when second to Master McShee at Leopardstown in December.
I hope SEA DUCOR doesn’t win at the Dublin Racing Festival this weekend because it might blow his mark. If he gets in off his current mark then he has a massive chance as he’s really well handicapped in the County Hurdle on the Friday.
