This looks a weak race and it might be worth siding with Maxcel despite a slightly disappointing debut at Huntingdon in November. He was well backed that day, going off only 9/4 but he just weakened out of things late, so perhaps the run was more needed than connections thought.
He certainly is bred to be useful, being a half-brother to My Khaleesi who dead-heated in a listed bumper at Cheltenham, while his trainer Hughie Morrison has a 21% strike rate in bumpers the last five years. He has to improve on that Huntingdon run but I believe there is every chance he will and he could prove different class to this field.

This doesn’t look the strongest of races and it might be worth siding with Zamperini, who was a winner of hurdles in September off a mark of 115. His two most recent starts can be forgiven as the heavy ground would have been a huge negative for him.
It’s also a positive that Zamperini was placed on the all-weather at Lingfield previously, which might be an advantage for him here. Throw in that Gary Moore is having plenty of winners at the moment and Zamperini has stronger claims than most here.
Supakalanistic won here a couple of weeks ago but carries a 6lb penalty as a result and Jersey Wonder is weighted to reverse, as he was only a length and a half behind that day. The interesting one getting weight off the majority of the field is Will Victory.
Trained in France originally, she has a win on the all-weather there and was a dual winner over hurdles there also. On her debut for Charlie Mann at Newbury in November, she only just failed to concede a double penalty that day. Stepped up to listed company on her next start, she was still travelling well within herself when tipping up three out.
She followed that with a second at Taunton in a listed hurdle, where again she was conceding weight all round. She has an official rating of 129 over hurdles and getting weight here, she is the each-way play getting weight off the main protagonists.
