Frank Hickey and Paddy Power have picked out their best bets ahead of a weekend which could see several meetings impacted by the weather.
Speaking on the latest episode of Paddy Power’s From The Horse’s Mouth podcast, the pair have looked towards Lingfield and Doncaster for their NAPs with Cheltenham called off and Fairyhouse in doubt.

1.10pm, Lingfield – Give em The Slip
This is a 7f maiden and I like the look of GIVE EM THE SLIP. She cost 42,000 guineas as a yearling and the dam was third in a 1,000 Guineas.
She was only beaten by three quarters of a length on debut at Newmarket over 6f last June and hasn’t been seen since but the form is really strong. The winner ran well when fifth in the Albany Stakes on her only other start, while the fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth all won a race last year. Only nine ran in the race so every horse, bar the third, has won since.
She obviously has an absence to overcome but if she shows anything like the Newmarket form then she will be winning.

3.15pm, Doncaster – Cap Du Nord
When I started looking at this race, CAP DU NORD was 4/1 and he looked the obvious one but I wanted to try and find something at a bit of a price. I was then interested in Canelo but you keep coming back to Cap Du Nord; he beat Canelo two runs ago and then was second last time out to Royale Pagaille who looked unbelievable.
Maybe it’s just a case of “If it quacks, it’s a duck”. Why look any further?
