12.00pm – Arabic Welcome (NAP)
Previously of Saeed bin Suroor, ARABIC WELCOME made a good start for Marco Botti’s yard when third at Newcastle last month, not unduly punished and looking one to keep an eye on going forward. He duly proved that to be the case as well, strong in the betting and, back up in trip, he stepped up on his previous promise to open his account at Wolverhampton recently, well positioned but showing a good turn of foot to swiftly settle matters.
He remains open to further improvement, and given he is up against mainly more exposed rivals here, he is taken to defy a 7lb rise in the weights and go in again.
1.45pm – Mutahamisa (NB)
The maiden that MUTAHAMISA finished ninth in back in July initially looked a difficult race to weight up, but it has since proved a very warm race of its type, producing five next-time-out winners, including Mutahamisa, who opened her account at the fourth attempt at Kempton last month, staying on to lead in the final 50 yards.
She made her handicap debut at this venue earlier this month and she was unlucky not to double her career tally, travelling fluently but short of room two furlongs out, keeping on well once switched but conceding first run to the winner and left with too much to do. She has more to offer yet and holds leading claims in her bid to regain the winning thread.

4.05pm – Vina Bay (Each-Way)
VINA BAY has hardly been fancied in the market in either of his three runs to date, sent off at odds of 150/1, 18/1 and 80/1, but he is well bred – a New Bay colt whose dam is related to a couple of very smart winners – and he not been running without promise.
He shaped better than the distance beaten suggests when fifth at this course earlier this month, still showing residual greenness but finishing with running left. He was not unduly punished on that occasion and he remains with potential. He appeals as the type to do much better now sent handicapping and could prove a shrewd bet at an enticing price.
