1.55pm – Natural History
The very smart Flat recruit, NATURAL HISTORY can go one better than on his recent hurdling debut here. Although turned over at odds-on, he was probably beaten by a good horse and if settling better he should improve on that running. The standout danger is the mare Ahorsewithnoname, who also ran to a high level in defeat on her hurdling introduction at Newbury.
2.20pm – Brewers Project
On this course it won’t matter too much should BREWERS PROJECT again jump out to his left and, although he’ll probably need to step up on the form he showed in winning at Wincanton, he possesses the scope to do so. As African Dance wasn’t at his best last time, the dangers could be Lilly Pedlar and Sameer.
2.50pm – I See You Well
None of the seven can be easily ruled out, with reason to believe even those not in the best of form might bounce back. I SEE YOU WELL falls into that category but it wasn’t too dispiriting a run when back from his long absence at Wincanton and he’s won around here before. Hugo ‘N Taz is another handicapped to go well if back on song and is the second choice, ahead of Cheque En Blanc. Echo Watt is probably worth taking on, having endured a tough race at Bangor only 11 days ago.

3.20pm – Zhiguli (NAP)
Crossgalesfamegame looks a strong contender with this longer trip likely to be right up her street after staying on up the hill at Cheltenham. Bailarico looked back to himself in winning at Catterick but preference is for ZHIGULI (nap), who has soon found his feet in handicaps and is bred to improve again now granted a proper stamina test.
3.50pm – Right Hand Of God
En Coeur is much respected after finishing second off the same mark here recently but Gary Moore had the winner that day and he again saddles an interesting runner in RIGHT HAND OF GOD. He’s been a bit too free for his own good over hurdles but has still shown promise and fences might be the making of him. Clondaw Robin should feature and also interesting is the unexposed Gaia Vallis from last year’s winning yard.
4.20pm – Nelson’s Touch
Sawpit Sienna, Darkest Day and Hymn And A Prayer go on the shortlist (in that order of preference) but this company represents a career-low for NELSON’S TOUCH. Although his much-reduced mark is for a reason, his last couple of efforts suggest there’s light at the end of the tunnel.
