Class 4 1m Handicap with a small field of seven and last time out winner HEADLAND. This horse won over C&D just 10 days and ago stayed on very strong that day. The trainer Scott Dixon is bang in form with a 31% strike rate in the last two weeks so is the one they need to beat.

14:35 ARABIAN KING
A tricky race with a small field of five and three of those are previous C&D winners. Notation was a last time out winner 31 days ago while ARABIAN KING and Mukha Magic’s form has been poor the last few runs, but Arabian King’s previous form here reads pretty well with three wins from three starts at the course.
Two wins from four over the distance and three wins from six starts on the going which reads standard. All in all this horse, going off the stats, will be a big player again.
15:05 GRIMSTHORPE CASTLE
This is a class 6 over a mile and Maykir is very much the in-form horse with back-to-back wins here at Southwell as recently as last week when winning quite comfortably by two-and-three-quarter lengths. I am going for a value option and will side with GRIMSTHORPE CASTLE.
This horse rarely runs a bad race with two wins and two placed efforts out of his last five starts. He was quite disappointing the last day but dropping back in distance might bring some improvement and could get back to winning ways.

15:35 REQUINTO DAWN
A 6f Handicap with a couple of horse managing to run quite well in the past. The nine year old Zylan will be towards the top of the betting with his win last time out, when making all under Ben Curtis that day. Jason Hart is on board and he’s been riding quite well with a 14% strike rate in the last 2 weeks, but I think REQUINTO DAWN could have a squeak.
This horse also won last time out but that victory came at Wolverhampton where he did hang a little close to home but still managed to get the job done. Conor Murtagh is the most inform jockey in the race with a 29% strike rate and I think this horse can double up his recent success.
