Horse Racing tips: Timeform’s 8 best bets at Lingfield on Monday

ROSE OHARA made plenty of appeal on paper ahead of her debut in a Ludlow bumper last month, and she duly showed plenty to work on, making good progress when ridden early in the straight before staying on well for fourth. She is likely to improve for that outing and is the clear pick on form.

12:45 Imperial Storm

IMPERIAL STORM is bred to be a useful jumper – a Shantou gelding whose dam is a half-sister to the high-class chaser Thisthatandother – and he shaped with promise on his debut in a Southwell bumper in November.

He stayed on well after being briefly denied a clear run, finishing with running left. He is entitled to come on for that outing and he makes plenty of appeal for the in-form Fergal O’Brien yard.

13:15 Not That Fuisse

A useful chaser, NOT THAT FUSSIE belatedly got off the mark over fences with a smooth display at Perth in September. He has performed with plenty of credit up in grade since then, far from disgraced when fourth in graded company at Exeter last time. He has undergone a wind operation since that run and has a good chance on form.

13:45 Supakalanistic

SUPAKALANISTIC made a winning start to his Flat career when landing the odds at Chepstow in September, coping well with the speed test. He followed that up with a victory over hurdles in November, getting the job done under a good front-running ride.

Returned to the level at Kempton recently, Supakalanistic ran at least as well in defeat as he had when making a successful debut in the sphere, still holding every chance until a furlong out. He is likely to go well again and gets the vote to make it three wins in his last four races.

GETARIVER is no stranger to jumpers’ bumpers, winning such an event at Wolverhampton in February last year, taking her tally in this sphere to three from three. She has been running with credit since then too, filling the places in each of her last three outings. She tops the Timeform weight-adjusted ratings and has to be high on the shortlist.

14:50 Zabeel Star

A winner at Newcastle in this sphere last year, ZABEEL STAR arrives here fit from the Flat, not disgraced as he finished fifth at the aforementioned venue on Tuesday, shaping as if in good form. There is every chance he could make a big impact here, particularly with Richard Johnson taking over in the saddle.

15:25 Atomic Jack

A fairly useful winner on the Flat, including at Kempton in July, ATOMIC JACK made an encouraging start to life over hurdles at Plumpton in October, going with plenty of enthusiasm, but his jumping caught him out on both that occasion and at Fontwell the following month. He is proven on the all-weather though, and with no hurdles to jump, this could be a good opportunity for him to regain the winning thread.

15:55 Lucky’s Dream

A lightly-raced maiden over hurdles, LUCKY’S DREAM proved himself better than ever as he resumed winning ways on the Flat at this venue recently, having to wait for a gap briefly but quickening to lead inside the final furlong and keeping up to his work well. He is a reliable operator on the all-weather and should give a good account on his bumpers debut.
