Dandy Spirit is on a hat-trick bid in this but his revised mark of 83 looks stiff so I’m going with RED CYMBAL who is in receipt of over a stone from the likely market leader. He had been very consistent up until his last run where he missed the break and his race was over before it began. With a quicker break today, he should get back to running his solid race and won’t be far away if he does.

Kudbegood is another horse looking to complete the hat-trick but a weight swing with MURAAHIN may well be enough to stop him following up. Cracking apprentice Sam Ewing retains the ride on Gavin Cromwell’s horse here and he has a much better stall to come out of this time in stall 1, having been drawn in 16 the last time he and Kudbegood met. Muraahin to me looks ready to win a contest of this nature after some close efforts in defeat and he’s the choice.
Plenty up towards the top of the weights have something to prove so I think going with a horse in form such as MAKE THE SWITCH may well pay dividends. He was a winner over 1m4f last time we saw him before Christmas but the step up to 2m shouldn’t be any issue considering the way he hit the line that day. Siobhan Rutlegde has been making a name for herself over the last few months and she takes over the ride and claims a valuable 7lbs off making him the one they all have to beat.
