12.10 – Noble Queen

NOBLE QUEEN has few miles on the clock so is worth siding with now she returns to this trip having done well in the circumstances when third back over 7f at Lingfield last time. Six Til Twelve is weighted to have a say if shrugging off a below-par Chelmsford City effort last time, while Global Style appeals as the pick of the remainder.

12.40 – Mutahamisa

A case can be made for all, but Roger Varian’s MUTAHAMISA returned much improved after an absence when scoring at Kempton last month so looks one to keep onside, with more progress on the cards now she steps into handicaps. In-form top-weight Toussarok rates a big threat with both Fayathaan and Sands In Time not taken lighty either in an open handicap.

13.10 – Recon Mission

RECON MISSION remains on a workable mark despite saddling a 5 lb penalty for his recent C&D victory so just gets the vote in a closely-knit sprint handicap. Royal Birth, who edged out a clutch of these over C&D recently, rates the major danger ahead of Verne Castle, who should enjoy a smoother passage this time and can’t be discounted easily.

13.40 – Anisoptera

ANISOPTERA improved again when scoring convincingly over C&D 7 weeks ago and should make a bold bid for the hat-trick. Gold Standard arrives at the top of his game and rates the main threat ahead of Figeac.

14.10 – Tamborrada

TAMBORRADA is already gelded but it’s perhaps significant he’s still with his powerful connections and is taken to make a winning start. King of Clubs and Too Friendly both shaped well first-time out while Defined sets a fairly-useful standard.

14.40 – Arabescato 

ARABESCATO only just failed under this rider and in this headgear here 3 weeks ago and can make amends off a similar mark. Three-time C&D winner Narjes rates the main threat ahead of Famous Dynasty.

15.10 – Enzo

This step back up in trip should help ENZO, who has performed with credit off this career-low mark the last twice and he could be the answer. Likely favourite Cafe Sydney made it 2-2 here when bagging a 1½m handicap last month and she is a much-respected main danger, with this drop back in trip unlikely to pose a problem. Joyfilly may be capable of better and she is also shortlisted.

15.40 – Zarafshan

 A chance is taken on ZARAFSHAN, who showed a fair level of ability on the Flat for Dermot Weld in Ireland and, though 0-8 over hurdles for present connections, he resumes in this sphere on a potentially handy mark. Caribeno is an obvious danger given his profile and the ultra-shrewd yard he represents, while fellow last-time-out winners Casa Loupi and Catbird Seat also enter calculations.
