It would be something of a surprise if anything outside of the top three in the handicap proved good enough. Miracle In Medinah seems to be making strides in the right direction while Rock The Barney is in the form of his life, but there was lots to like about the way KRISTIAN GOINGWEL landed a touch at Down Royal and there could be more to come from him.

INDIANA JONES can continue his owner and trainer’s good run but it is hard to be confident in a really deep race. Wolf Prince is perhaps the one to beat.

Not many count in a very weak affair. Clonbury Bridge will not be far away on his Wexford and Punchestown efforts, but BOOMTOWN GIRL (nap) could be more progressive and if her latest fall at Cork hasn’t left a mark she should take some beating.

An interesting and very competitive race. Last year’s winner Southerner is a good place to start, hat-trick seeking Mattie’s Mountain won’t be far away, neither will top-weight Ennemi Public or the consistent Sargent Lightfoot, while Goulane Chosen is obviously very well treated if ready to perform after 11 months off. The one to beat though could be ONEKNIGHTMOREIHOPE despite his penalty for a resounding success at Naas. He could still be very progressive.

RESURRECTED DUKE might finally get his head in front. Dangers lurk, with John Joe Walsh running three, none safely disregarded; Glenabo Bridge and Shar Whats Therush are also noted.
