An open look to this. Perhaps MORATORIUM can raise his game now sent handicapping after his three novice chase runs revealed some promise. Memory Tree, Champagne Beauty, Bitview Colin and Theatre World look solid, while Scully’s Dream has a squeak if avoiding errors. Fiveaftermidnight was runner-up in this last year and can go well again.
This looks like a competitive maiden hurdle. Lifetime Ambition sets the standard and Forged In Fire has 32l to make up with him on Navan running. The latter’s stablemate, Risk Factor, can’t be ignored, while the Willie Mullins-trained pair of Stattler and Glens Of Antrim are noteworthy. However, BARBARY MASTER will appreciate going up in trip today and can improve upon his hurdling debut to get off the mark.
Willie Mullins has won this event four years in a row and can collect again with Cheltenham mares’ novice winner CONCERTISTA. Coral Cup runner-up Black Tears probably needed her first run of the season at Punchestown and may reverse form with Buildmeupbuttercup.
An interesting clash between a pair who dominated the finish of the Albert Bartlett. MONKFISH should have the measure of Latest Exhibition who has questions to answer after a Punchestown defeat. Gordon Elliott has such a good recent record in this race that it would be unwise to rule out Conflated.
This could boil down to a rematch of the Morgiana Hurdle which turned out to be a rather muddling affair which was probably not ideal for the winner or for the runner-up. That said, SAINT ROI may have been slightly more inconvenienced, and gets the vote to turn the tables on Abracadabras. It would be unwise to rule out Sharjah, bidding to win this for the third time in a row, and Aspire Tower deserves respect in a race last won by a four-year-old in 2011.

Henry de Bromhead has two strong contenders. Rachael Blackmore’s choice of GABBYS CROSS (nap) over Premium Package appears significant. Jacksons Gold may be capable of a big run under top-weight. Millen To One, second in this race last year, could take a share of the money again. Visionarian is relatively unexposed.
A smart-looking point winner for Ellen Doyle last season, HOLLOW GAMES made an excellent start for Gordon Elliott at Punchestown and looks set to follow up. Mare Quimby looked well above-average on her debut and it may be worth overlooking her disappointing Navan run. Eurotiep must also enter calculations.
