13:00 Sweet Believer

Some interesting newcomers on show, but SWEET BELIEVER was a big improver from her first run to her second, and she should be winning sooner rather than later. John Gosden fields a couple of the more interesting newcomers in Vital Force and Regent, while Sammarr is another debutante that needs monitoring closely in the market.

13:30 Freedom And Wheat

FREEDOM AND WHEAT did well to come from some way off the pace to score with authority at Kempton last week, so he’s fancied to defy a 5lbs penalty and complete the hat-trick. Buckingham is on a good mark and should run well again, with the low-mileage Giuseppe Cassioli completing the shortlist.

Though yet to hit the target, PATSY FAGAN earns top marks for consistency and is taken to deservedly get his head in front following another solid effort at Newcastle. If able to at least match the form of her latest effort at Chelmsford, Little Sunflower will surely be involved in the finish. She is next on the list ahead of Hotalena and Split Elevens.

ZULU ZANDER was ridden with more restraint than usual when third to Boom The Groom over course and distance recently and, with Adam Kirby taking over and now 4lbs better off with that rival, he is taken to emerge on top this time. Comeatchoo went close over 6 furlongs here last week and should give another good account, while Smokey makes the shortlist too, along with Solar Park.

GOLD STANDARD stayed on well to lead close home here last week so may be able to defy a penalty over this longer trip. Master Burbridge has been in good form over fences and is respected back in this sphere, while Jen’s Fella ran well at Newcastle recently and remains unexposed.
