3.22pm, Fairyhouse (Saturday) – Brandy Love

BRANDY LOVE won her maiden point-to-point against the geldings and the inside track at Fairyhouse will suit as it requires a bit of stamina. Patrick Mullins rides now and he looks our best chance on the day. It’s a brandy time of year, isn’t it?

1.30pm, Doncaster (Saturday) – Wheesht

I might ruin the price for myself by tipping this up, but I’m going for WHEESHT. She made her debut for Alistair Ralph last time at Southwell in what was only her second handicap ever. She looked to be coming with a strong run before making an awful mistake at the last hurdle, eventually finishing fifth and beaten by four-and-a-half lengths.

If she hadn’t made the mistake, she would have gone really close. She runs off the same mark here and steps up from 2m5f to 3m. She was a winning point-to-pointer so that should bring about improvement and one firm had her in at 18/1 on Friday morning. That looks massive to me.
