13:10 Punchestown – Boher Cailin

Coverage starts on ITV with a Listed mares novice hurdle over 2m 4f. No doubt, Finest Evermore is the one to beat here and she will probably win at short odds. That said, I will have a few quid each-way on BOHER CAILIN for Henry de Bromhead and Rachael Blackmore. She is a point winner and stayed well to score at Clonmel first time. If they all go, she will be hard to keep out the frame at the very least.

13:25 Cork – Chacun Pour Soi

A Grade 2 here over an extended 2m and it’s impossible to oppose CHACUN POUR SOI. He could well win the Champion Chase at Cheltenham in March and stuffed Min when last seen. Not at odds to back, but impossible to oppose for Willie Mullins and Paul Townend.

13:40 Punchestown – Min

Now a Grade 1, in the John Durkan Memorial Chase over an extended 2m 4f. This won’t be easy for MIN to get the hat-trick in this race, but he’s a class act and these conditions are absolutely ideal. Patrick Mullins gets the big chance on the Willie Mullins runner and the Ryanair hero will be hard to stop.

13:55 Cork – Western Victory

Here we have a Grade 3 novice chase over an extended 2m, where WESTERN VICTORY looks the one here for Sean O’Keeffe and Declan Queally. She was a good winner at Clonmel two starts ago and while only third of four at that track last time, it was a much tougher race than this one. This trip is ideal.

14:10 Punchestown – The Great White

A handicap hurdle here over 2m 4f and this is very hard. THE GREAT WHITE has each-way claims and he did not do at all badly at Fairyhouse and Navan recently. I have a feeling on that form he could be hard to beat. Conor Maxwell rides for Dermot McLoughlin and the trip is no issue.

14:30 Cork – Sayce Gold

Another Grade 3, this time for staying novice hurdlers over 3m and SAYCE GOLD looks to be really promising for Michael Winters in the colours of Trevor Hemmings. The mare was massively impressive over nearly this trip at Thurles last time and should give Darragh O’Keeffe a fine spin.

14:45 Kelso – Mighty Thunder

A novice chase here over nearly 3m and MIGHTY THUNDER might be able to outstay these. Trained by Lucinda Russell and ridden by Blair Campbell, Mighty Thunder was good at Hexham last time and kept on really strongly to score. This on looks progressive.

15:00 Cork – Charlie Siringo

Another handicap hurdle over 2m and this one is wide open. I’m hoping this is the day CHARLIE SIRINGO comes good for Noel Meade and Sean Flanagan. The gelding was a beaten favourite at Punchestown last time having run well at Cork the time before. An effort previous to that at Wexford was also decent, so he has every chance.

15:20 Kelso – One Of Us

The Borders National Handicap Chase over an extended 4m is hugely competitive. ONE OF US was knackered on debut before pulling up, but that might have blown some cobwebs away. On a going day he stays forever, and Tom Scudamore is a good booking for Nick Williams. Has each-way claims.

15:40 Punchestown – Supreme Jet

Finally, a flat race over an extended 2m. Some big yards here and Mullins, O’Brien and Elliott will be hard to beat. I’m hoping point winner SUPREME JET will be an each-way price for Oliver McKiernan. The horse he defeated in his point has already been a beaten favourite in a bumper, but he did it well that day and he might be some value.

So best of luck and pray for Yeeehaaas. You hear me Paddy?
