Horse Racing tips: Here’s 8 on a plate for Dundalk today

An ace in every race from the Racing Post? We'll soon see.

Dundalk 14:00

Having looked set to get up close home, MS THOMPSON had to settle for a share of the spoils over C&D last week but, still relatively unexposed, she is taken to defy a 5lb rise and follow up here. Both Treble Cone and Philly’s Hope are upped in trip here and have solid claims on recent form if staying, though Magic Charm could prove a greater threat, and Royal Red Persian can’t be ruled out.

Dundalk 14:30

A very open look to this second division. Recent C&D winner FRYERNS remains one of the least exposed and with the likelihood of further improvement, and her rider’s valuable claim, gets the nod ahead of the likes of Royal Admiral, Gormanston and Papal Parade.

Dundalk 15:05

Several of these re-oppose from a similar race last month in which Highly Approved had Boitron, Royal Highness and Caeser’s Comet among her victims, but a chance is taken here on WINDHAM BELLE seeing out the trip well enough to record a second win at the track. Bay Of Skaill has plenty on at the weights but should outrun her likely odds from a good draw, while the veteran Togoville can’t be discounted if in the mood.

Dundalk 15:40

Surprising if the winner were not to emerge from the four previous winners in the race. MESSIDOR probably didn’t beat that much in a fillies maiden over C&D last time but did it well and looks the type to take this step up in grade in her stride. She is preferred to other course winners Let Me Pass and Hale Bopp, with French recruit Allez Bara adding further interest on his AW debut.

Dundalk 16:15

Several with a shout but a chance is taken on GINATO to turn around the form with Ablah from their meeting last time on 7lb better terms. Collective Power is interesting dropping to this trip.

Dundalk 16:45

Lots of these have a squeak but KEEPTHEBESTSIDEOUT could well go in again off a 4lb higher mark and she can confirm the form with Pillar, Great Midge and Teddy Boy. Fit For Function is also a danger.

Dundalk 17:15

A decent third over C&D last time, BOBBY K is starting to find his feet again and can notch his fourth AW win. Will Be King, Imposing Supreme and Well Suited look likely to run their races, so are the main dangers.

Dundalk 17:45

It was no disgrace for MERCHANT OF VENICE (nap) to fall short coming up against a rapid improver over 7f here on stable debut and he can go one better back to 1m today. Juyush, Angel Palanas and Fridtjof Nansen can give him most to do.
