With her still on the mark of a plater, the handicapper evidently harbours doubts about the apparent improvement shown by Time For Champers when very nearly nicking a Chepstow maiden from horses with bright futures ahead of them. This will tell us more, but ANYTHINGFORLOVE will probably take plenty of beating regardless. This half-sister to Sizing John won both her bumpers and was unfortunate in relinquishing her unbeaten record on her hurdling debut at Uttoxeter. Timetoroe could be the danger.
13:20 Itsonlyrocknroll
A low-grade handicap that could go to ITSONLYROCKNROLL, who is on a fair mark should the challenge of fences float his boat. Tis Fantastic has made a pleasing start to his chase career and is the second choice.
13:50 Hang Tough
Jonjo O’Neill’s HANG TOUGH lived up to his name with a battling victory here three weeks ago and he jumped really well for a chasing debutant. He can defy a 5lb rise, perhaps at the expense of Colonel Keating.
14:23 Zhiguli
It’s a concern for Big Penny that her improvement has come over longer distances, Corinto and Mr McGuiness will probably come on for their runs and Fricka looks high in the weights. Chambard (feared most) and Darlyn can be expected to go well, but ZHIGULI is the potential improver now sent handicapping after some encouraging qualifying efforts.

This is a rise in class for AWAY FOR SLATES (nap) but in his current form he has less to prove than most of these and going back up in distance is certainly no bad thing. Aubusson is hard to predict but could be the danger if on a good day.

A tight handicap in which all four have claims. Marginal preference is for LITTLE RORY MAC, who perhaps found 2m4f a stretch when well backed for a competitive handicap on his return at Plumpton. Feared most is Ruacana, who goes well here, is nicely treated and able when fresh.
