Spirit Of Rowdown displayed a willing attitude when scoring at Chelmsford last time but a 6lb higher mark might be enough to prevent a follow up. Amal and Influence Is Power are unexposed and need monitoring in the betting but the key race might be the C&D nursery last week in which Zoolander finished ahead of BEECHWOOD EMILY and Desert Cat. The selection didn’t get a clear run at a crucial stage on that occasion but she did enough to suggest she is ready to add to September’s Newcastle success.

Wolverhampton 16:30

There are some potential improvers on show, notably Jaramillo and Simple Star, but UNCLE BRYN looked a smart prospect when winning at Kempton in September and he can defy his penalty before going on to better things.

Wolverhampton 17:00

An interesting race in which the vote goes to ANATIYA, who left her initial form a long way behind when scoring in good style over C&D 22 days ago and has plenty of scope for further progress off what looks a fair opening mark. Both Highest Ambition and Night Narcissus had close calls in 6f AW events last time and they are are feared most on their nursery debuts, though Tilaawah has form figures of 221 in his three nurseries and he’s respected on his first run for Mark Loughnane.

Wolverhampton 17:30

Both Good Humor and Silent Escape are bred to be useful but ALEXEJ has run to a fair level in his two starts and can put his experience to good use. He still looks to be learning the job himself and could take another step forward.

Wolverhampton 18:00

This should be fast and furious, and with VENTUROUS (nap) in the form of his life he’s taken to complete the hat-trick. He finished with a flourish to score at Newcastle last week and a 4lb penalty won’t be enough to prevent a follow-up granted a clear passage. Top Breeze has been banging at the door and is feared, while Royal Birth and El Hombre are others to consider.

Wolverhampton 18:30

Guroor and Gabrial The One are respected back on AW, while Daheer and Candelisa are in form but unproven over the trip. Toro Dorado is set to give another good account but FAIR STAR is the most interesting candidate and by some way. He’s not obviously ahead of his mark on the evidence of his two course wins early in the year but the step up in trip is sure to suit him and it would be very surprising if he weren’t capable of better.

Wolverhampton 19:00

The top three can all have cases made but STEVIE MCKEANE could be interesting off her low weight. She was hampered leaving the home straight on her handicap debut at Chelmsford but still made up plenty of ground and the step up in trip looks sure to suit. Cafe Sydney is likely to go well again with Muftakker and Global Wonder also in attendance.

None of these are overly appealing, and CALIFORNIA LAD is a tentative choice. He had form here for his previous stable, and his first run for this one was fairly encouraging. Mr Sundowner is the second choice.

Wolverhampton 20:00

Thegreyvtrain should make a bold bid from stall 2 and is a key player, along with Qaaraat and Red Allure, but this can fall to PASSIONAL. She made a promising start for her new stable at Chelmsford last week and can get off the mark now returned to 5f.
